Virgo Season - Bringing clarity by focusing on yourself

Virgo Season began last week on August the 22nd and it will continue until September the 22nd.

Virgo is the second earth sign of the zodiac. A feminine, mutable energy, which is represented by the Virgin, often depicted as a maiden holding a sheaf of wheat. The Virgin represents purity and modesty while seeking perfection in themselves and their surroundings. The sheaf of wheat instead symbolizes fertility and the gathering of knowledge. As September was often associated with the harvest season, before the weather changed and cools as autumn approaches, the crops were cut and collected, ready to be used for cooking and eating.

Last month Leo Season reminded us the importance of shining our true self, giving space to what brings us joy and connecting with others around us. Now that the Sun has transited in Virgo, from a Yang Fixed/Fire energy to a Yin Mutable/Earth energy, we have been given the opportunity to bring clarity in our life. This time will be perfect to focus on what we would like to improve and optimize in our life and selecting what has been useful and what we would like to keep carrying with us.

When the Sun moves to Virgo we are generally asked to shift our focus internally, concentrating on self-improvement and self-analisis, at the same time making sure we don't overly criticize ourselves if we are not where we thought we would be.

Sun in Virgo - core of your personality and your essence:

You tend to be very detail oriented and often make sure that everything works as it is supposed to. You are very practical and show love generally throughout the act of service. You come alive when you are at service to others, improving systems, and creating order from chaos. You are a natural healing but it is generally more focused on a physical, grounded and practical way. When you discover something that you are interested in, you dive deep into it until you have a clear understanding of it - thanks for Mercury which is the planet that rules your sign. You can inspire others by taking better care and becoming a better version of themselves. When something doesn't go your way, be careful not to fall into self-criticism too much, after all we can always learn from our mistakes and setbacks.

Moon in Virgo - your emotional landscape and subconscious:

You might find comfort in routines, order, and cleanliness, and you may have a strong need to feel useful or needed. You are able to connect with your intuition more when you are grounded and things are in order, which helps to feel emotionally balanced. Sometimes when the world gets messy and chaotic, you might feel your world crumbling underneath your feet. It's in this troubled time that you might feel the need to keep everything under control. Remember, the only things you have control over are your thoughts and your actions. So during this time it might help to practice letting go of what you can't control and focus on clearing the energy of your environment, taking care of your body, and spending time in nature. This will help you to connect with your heart and know how to move forward.

Rising in Leo –  your Soul’s purpose on Earth:

You are an excellent problem solver who is seen as highly intelligent. You might also have a youthful energy which others tend to experience when they first meet you. Your Soul's purpose is to heal both yourself and others without being too critical. This is a difficult balance to attain but at the highest level, but your goal in this lifetime is to accept and forgive yourself for your own flaws in a way that you will also be able to accept others’ imperfections, while helping them to work through them to become a better version of themselves.
