Gemini Season - “Questioning and understanding the world around us with curiosity”
Hi Friends,
with a little bit of delay I have finally found some time to write a new post.
I am due to move soon to a new flat, so the last couple of months have been quite hectic between work and home-searching. Everyone who has ever lived in London knows how chaotic and difficult this is! But hey! Here I am, happy to be back and talk about this lovely time of the year together.
The Sun has recently moved from the first fixed sign of the zodiac (Taurus) to Gemini, the first mutable one. Therefore, where the Sun is moving, our consciousness will automatically follow. As you probably know, Gemini is ruled by Mercury, so this time of the year will mostly focus on learning, communication and adaptability.
Gemini is an air mutable sign with Yang energy. It's also often described as a quick thinker, curious and inquisitive; with a thirst for gaining new information. At the same time Gemini is very sociable, energetic and playful. In fact, it's not a coincidence that it's symbolized by the Twins, which gives us an idea of how this sign is associated with duality, communication and connection. Therefore, during this season we are asked to reflect on the way we understand and process information, in order to acknowledge the reality around us.
This time will be particularly important since, on the 26th of May, Jupiter has moved to Gemini and it will remain here until the 8th of June 2025. During this transit, Jupiter is asking us to focus on thinking critically, paying attention to what we want to communicate and the way we do it. We will be reminded to reflect on how we relate to duality and paradox (day and night, good and evil, etc..). Since, we often think that, in order to raise our consciousness we should embrace only the light and the positive energies - but the truth is that the world is not made only of light. Therefore, if we really want to raise our consciousness and the consciousness of this planet, we need to be ready to work with both light and shadow within and outside ourselves.
We also recently had a full moon in Sagittarius on the 23rd of May, which reminded us to let go of our attachments and be brave enough in order to search for the real truth and meaning of life. On the same date, Venus also moved to Gemini, and it will remain here until the 17th of June. During this transit we'll be invited to use a curiosity approach while creating new connections and expanding our social network.
We also are going to have a New Moon in Gemini on the 6th of June, which will be conjunct with Venus. This will be a good time to revaluate the way we think, we communicate and interact with others and it will also be a great time to begin new educational endeavors.
To have a better understanding of how this transit will show up in your life, check in which house Gemini is sitting in your birth chart. In this way you will have a clear idea of which area of your life will be highlighted during this season.
